Okay, the 50th Chicago International Film Festival is happening this year, and I'm actually going to see some films this year. I think this is the first time that I've gone, because it's in an inconvenient place to get to, and there's usually a big slate of important films that get a lot of attention, but this year there are three horror films that I want to see:
- Creep (a two-hander out in a cabin in the woods)
- The Babadook (an Australian film which has been freaking audiences out for most of the past year)
- It Follows (a sex-themed horror film which has been getting good press from the critics at The Dissolve)
So in order to get back into the swing of using this site more often I'll post my thoughts on each film. Tonight is the first screening, which will be Creep. Off to the movies...
